More Details On The Reports Of Immigrants Being Deported

Per the New York Post, Gomez’s paternal grandparents emigrated from Mexico in the 1970s. In 2019, she reportedly shared her stance on undocumented immigration in an article for TIME Magazine.

“Undocumented immigration is an issue I think about every day, and I never forget how blessed I am to have been born in this country thanks to my family and the grace of circumstance. But when I read the news headlines or see debates about immigration rage on social media, I feel afraid for those in similar situations. I feel afraid for my country,” she reportedly wrote.

Furthermore, the New York Post adds that since Trump became president, he’s imposed strong efforts to deport “so-called criminal migrants from the US.”

In addition, Trump recently made headlines after sharing his decision to put an end to birthright citizenship.

Subsequently, his announcement sparked Rep. Nancy Pelosi to speak out.
