If you’re kicking it in D.C. this winter, designer sneakers aren’t the only luxury item robbers are after. Fox 5 DC reporter Stephanie Ramirez says Metro PD also recommends people sew air tags into their expensive coats.
We’ve covered this issue before in DC & Prince George’s but I’ve never seen a warning like this B4.
Also a good time to remind owners, @DCPoliceDept recommends people sew an AirTag into your expensive coat. High end cost thefts are an issue during the winter.

Three Students Designer Sneakers Recently Robbed
Earlier this month, three students had their designer sneakers, Balenciaga and Jordans, snatched from their feet in Southeast D.C. Fox 5 DC reports that the incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 15. A suspect described as Black with a darker complexion and male, reportedly ran up on the students, flashed a gun and demanded their “sh*t.”
They handed the Jordan Blue Thunders, costing a little over $200, a pair of white-and-black Jordans that cost about $280, and the $1,100 Balenciagas. At this time, police don’t have anyone in custody for the stick-up.
