As previously reported, Biden officially made Juneteenth a national holiday in June 2021. The holiday honors Black history, celebrates how far we’ve come, and recognizes the work yet to be done.

These efforts include growing economic opportunities for Black families, pouring resources into Black businesses, increasing access to housing and targeting discrimination in the housing market, and ensuring equitable opportunities for Black students.
