More Details On The 2016 Footage Of Diddy & Casandra Ventura
According to CNN, the outlet obtained the exclusive footage, which was published in an article on Friday, May 17. The footage is reportedly dated March 5, 2016, and shows the former couple at the “now-closed” InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles.
In the video, Ventura is seen after reportedly exiting a hotel room. She then walks to a set of elevators, and Combs, holding a towel around his waist, runs after Ventura. When he reaches her, he is seen grabbing the back of her neck and throwing her to the floor.
After turning around, Diddy kicks Ventura multiple times and retrieves her purse and other items from the floor.
From there, Diddy is seen dragging Ventura by her sweatshirt, seemingly toward his room.
In a separate clip of the video, Ventura is seen walking to and picking up a hotel phone. Diddy then reappears and shoves Ventura into a corner beneath the camera.
As the clip continues, Diddy is later seen sitting at a table and throwing an object in Ventura’s direction.
According to the outlet, Ventura’s lawyer, Douglas H. Wigdor, has released a statement about the footage.
“The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light,” Wigdor stated.
CNN reports that the outlet has contacted Combs and InterContinental Hotels for a comment on the surfaced footage. At this time, a comment has yet to be shared in response.
At this time, Ventura has yet to publicly react to the footage.
More Details On Cassie Ventura’s Initial Lawsuit & Subsequent Settlement With Diddy
As The Shade Room previously reported, Ventura filed a lawsuit against Diddy, accusing him of assault, trafficking, and abuse in November. CNN reports that Ventura cited the above incident in the suit.
Ventura reportedly stated that at the time of the incident, Diddy was “extremely intoxicated” and punched her in the face, “giving her a black eye.”
Afterward, Ventura left their hotel room, which prompted Diddy to follow her.
“He grabbed at her, and then took glass vases in the hallway and threw them at her, causing glass to crash around them as she ran to the elevator to escape,” the lawsuit reportedly states.
From there, Ventura allegedly took a cab to her apartment. However, she later returned to the hotel.
“Upon realizing that her running away would cause Mr. Combs to be even angrier with her, and completely stuck in his vicious cycle of abuse, Ms. Ventura returned to the hotel with the intention of apologizing for running away from her abuser,” the suit reportedly states. “When she returned, hotel security staff urged her to get back into a cab and go to her apartment, suggesting that they had seen the security footage showing Mr. Combs beating Ms. Ventura and throwing glass at her in the hotel hallway.”
According to the suit, Diddy reportedly paid the hotel $50,000 for footage of the incident.
Elsewhere in the November suit, Ventura detailed numerous instances where Combs beat and bruised her. Additionally, the singer alleged that Combs even raped her and forced her to have nonconsensual relations with male sex workers.
In the weeks after her lawsuit, Ventura and Combs settled privately.
