Billie Lourd is setting the document straight about her late mom Carrie Fisher‘s upcoming legacy celebration.
On Could 3, the daughter of the late Star Wars legend confirmed she deliberately omitted Carrie’s siblings—Todd, Joely and Tricia Leigh Fisher—from her mother’s Could 4 posthumous Hollywood Stroll of Fame induction ceremony.
“The reality is I didn’t invite them to this ceremony,” Billie, 30, stated in a press release obtained by E! Information. “They know why.”
Todd advised TMZ Could 2 he was “being omitted” from the ceremony, which he discovered “actually hurtful.” Her aunts wrote on Instagram Could 3 that Billie has “chosen to not embody us on this epic second in our sister’s profession.”
Billie stated their messages led her to subject a press release in response. “I’ve seen the postings and press launch issued by my mom’s brother and sister,” she stated. “I apologize to anybody studying this for feeling the necessity to defend myself publicly from these members of the family. However sadly, as a result of they publicly attacked me, I’ve to publicly reply.”
